ART Enhancer
Assisted Reproductive Procedures have become a source of hope for many people who can’t conceive naturally. We aim to compliment the work that is being conducted by your clinic.
Nutrition plays a crucial role in preparing you for assisted reproduction, as it can impact fertility and overall reproductive health.
Medical and reproductive organisations emphasise the importance of good nutrition before fertility treatments. As highlighted by, the American Society for Reproductive Medicine (ASRM), European Society of Human Reproduction and Embryology (ESHRE), National Institute for Health and Care Excellence (NICE) and the American Dietetic Association (ADA), as well as the renowned International Federation of Fertility Societies (IFFS).
Our investigation takes part across several sessions, affording us an intimate understanding of your reproductive health and how we can enhance the outcome of your ART journey.
This pack is designed for:
-
Those planning on undergoing ART procedures
-
Those currently undergoing ART procedures
Check out our process below.
ART Enhancer Process
The first step, as with all of our packs, is to complete our pre-clinic questionnaire. The questionnaire is designed to provide our team with as much information on you as there is! The questionnaire covers your current state of health as well as beginning the investigation into your past. This information is evaluated by us offline, to aid the investigatory process.
In our first session, having reviewed your responses to our detailed questionnaires, we first establish what the known or perceived timeframe for your ART procedure is. This becomes our guide as to how we develop your protocol, ensuring that it supports you and your clinical team throughout the process. We are then able to develop your nutritional intervention protocol to support the lead-up to your ART procedure.
During this session, we will discuss your current state of health, the reasoning behind pursuing Assisted Reproduction and what we can do to support your clinical team. Once we are satisfied that we have all of the required information, we move to develop the protocol.
During this time, we are developing your nutritional and supplemental protocol to cater to the three distinct time periods in your Assisted Reproductive Calendar. The ART Protocol is developed in three parts, recognising the three distinct time periods in your treatment:
- The lead up to the extraction phase,
- The time period between extraction and implantation,
- And the period post-implantation.
In developing the protocol for these three phases, we can nourish and support you at every stage in your process.
The objective of this protocol, depending on the timeframe, is to:
- Improve the quality of the sperm cell used by the clinicians,
- Support the development of the egg cell(s) before their extraction
- And improve the environment in the womb to improve the chances of a successful implantation of the fertilised embryo.
In our second session, based on our offline evaluation and the development of your protocol, we will present the protocol to you, walking you through our proposals and the reasoning behind the proposal. Each of the three phases is discussed in detail, ensuring that you have a full understanding of what happens, when, and why. This information will also be emailed to you, should you wish to speak with your clinicians about the proposal. We are on hand to discuss any element with your physician should it be required or of help.
In our protocol for our Nutrition for Fertility pack, we will discuss:
- Your diet and nutritional intake. This will include your shortcomings, areas where you are doing well, what we have to improve, how to improve it, and any other step that can improve your nutritional and reproductive health.
- Recommended reading, should it be welcomed. This will include books on fertility - based on your circumstances - cookbooks, recipes, etc.
- Lifestyle Advice
- Supplements that may be required
- And tests, that if we were in your shoes, we would consider.
